Medicare Mental Health Care Plan

I am a registered Medicare provider and can see clients who have a Mental Health Care Plan from their GP. This gives you access to ten Medicare rebated therapy sessions per calendar year.

A gap fee is payable for sessions.

For a standard 50 minute therapy session I charge a gap fee of $85.

My fee is $230 and you get $145 back on the Medicare rebate, which I will process for you.

Note - Clients usually have a session every two weeks to spread out their ten Medicare rebated sessions over a longer period (as well as spreading the cost).

If you are unemployed or experiencing significant financial difficulties, please contact me to discuss the fee. I believe that cost should never be a barrier to accessing world class psychological therapy.

To make therapy accessible for all, my session fees are lower than those recommended by the Australian Psychological Society who recommend a fee of $311 per session. I believe in providing clients with value for money
